Psoriasis is a skin condition that typically consists of raised lesions covered by silvery scaling. It can occur anywhere on the body but is often seen on the elbows, knees, scalp, and trunk. Psoriasis is an inflammatory condition and some patients develop psoriatic arthritis. We prescribe a variety of treatment for psoriasis to control the condition including moisturization, topical steroids, topical Vitamin D analogs, ultra violet light therapy, oral medications, and injectable medications.
